Puerto Maldonado

City located on the banks of the Madre de Dios and Tambopata rivers. Called the capital of biodiversity, it is the entrance to the Amazon rainforest of southern Peru. The contrast of natural wealth and important source of commerce is undoubtedly one of the most important characteristics of this place. Visit the famous Colpas and see the beautiful and colorful macaws feeding on them. Hike the trails and discover rare species of insects, mammals and reptiles. Additionally, take a boat at night and navigate the rivers to discover the night jungle and see the beings that inhabit it. It is spectacular.
