Overview

Discover the wonders of colonial and contemporary Lima, also called “The city of kings.”

Huaca Pucllana is an adobe and clay pyramid situated in the Miraflores district, centrally located in Lima, Peru. This pyramid boasts seven staggered levels and was constructed by inhabitants of the area who lived between 200 AD and 700 AD. While the community built the pyramid during that time frame, Huaca Pucllana itself was completed around 500 AD. The archaeological excavation of Huaca Pucllana commenced in 1981, culminating in its designation as a historical and cultural park in 1991. Today, visitors can explore this ancient site and gain insights into the rich history of the region.

Note: Please be aware that the entrance to Huaca Pucllana is closed on Tuesdays.
