Santa Catalina Convent

A visit that takes approx two hours. Founded in 1580 and located in the center of the city. It is a masterwork of colonial architecture and it has several valuable religious art objects of colonial times.

The Compañía Church

One of the oldest in Arequipa. This Jesuit church has a solid construction and has stood strong earthquakes. Inside there is a beautiful chapel with the name of San Ignacio de Loyola.

San Camilo Market

San Camilo Market is considered historical heritage representing civil public architecture. The structures were designed by the well known French engineer Gustavo Eiffel. It is one of the oldest markets of the city.

Arequipa Cathedral

Built on sillar (volcanic stone) with a brick vault. It is the main church of the city and occupies all the Northern part of the main square. Built totally with sillar it has a neo-renaissance style with some gothic influence. The façade is formed with seventy columns with Corinthian capitals. Its majestic presence makes it one of the most important architectonic symbols of the city.

The Colca Canyon

One of the deepest canyons in Peru. It is sourrounded by Coropuna, Ampato and Sabancay volcanoes.
Colca is located at a distance of 164 km. The trip will take 4 hours. We arrive at a height of 4950 meters over the sea level and then we descend to 3400 meters. One good option is to stay over in the small town of Chivay. There are other picturesque towns like Yanque. In Chivay you can enjoy the thermal baths.
The belevedere Cruz del Condor. This belevedere gives a great experience to the traveler. From here you can watch the flight of the condor. The suggestion is to stay 2 days and one night in Chivay.
